Some people use the terms editing and proofreading loosely. Pentacle Productions follows the definitions approved by the Editors’ Association of Canada.

When a client calls about a proofreading project, we ask if the document has been reviewed by a professional editor. If not, it probably needs more than proofreading. It may need copy editing, fact checking, structural or stylistic editing, or even rewriting.
